Planning October trip & would like to spend some days in a resort enjoying pool and activities without venturing to a park (first time ever staying at disney resort).Travelling with a 3yr daughter, any good deluxe suggestions, AKL,WL or other? thanks

    Hi Rachael,

All of the resorts on property offer fun amenities for families. My two favorites, however, are Disney's Beach Club and the Animal Kingdom Lodge.

If your 3 year old loves animals, I'd definitely recommend the Animal Kingdom Lodge. It's a very warm, inviting atmosphere, and there are lots of opportunities to see the animals located on savannas throughout the resort. There's also a main pool as well as a small kiddie pool.

If she prefers playing in the water, the Beach Club is a great option. Stormalong Bay, the pool area shared by the Beach Club and the Yacht Club, has a sandy-bottom pool that my kids always loved to play in. It's also walking distance from Epcot and the Boardwalk.

I hope that helps you make a decision!
