Hi, Katherine! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Let's plan your fun Fall visit to Walt Disney World!
My family has Florida Resident Seasonal Passes, so any time there's not a blockout you'll find us hanging around the Theme Parks. The Halloween season is one of our favorites! I love the Mickey pumpkins and all the harvest decorations around Town Square and up and down Main Street , U.S.A. It really helps us get in the spooky spirit!
If you visit the Magic Kingdom on a day that Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is scheduled and you don't have tickets to the party that night, the park will close to "day Guests" at 7 p.m. Usually, party Guests are allowed to start entering the park as early as 4 p.m., so you may find the crowd really start to swell during that overlap period, especially between about 5-6 p.m. When we've visited on a party day, we've found it better to try and get out of the park by 5 p.m. or so to avoid the larger crowds as the party Guests kick off their evening of ghostly fun.
I think party days are a great time to visit, Katherine. The crowds may be a bit lighter early in the day as people rest up for their big night ahead. If you get there at opening and make an early day of it, I think your family will have a great time at the Magic Kingdom!
I hope this helps you with your planning. Please visit us again if you have any more questions. We love to help!
Have a magical day,
Kathy K.
