Planning an Oct 2021 trip to Disney World. Wondering with the “pausing” of new ticket sales and reservations announced today- do you think 2021 packages still open up sometime in June? Or do you feel that will be delayed? Just wondering your best guess!

    Hi Ellie,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It's always a wonderful feeling to be planning your next visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth. My husband likes to joke that I start planning our next Walt Disney World Resort vacation as soon as I board Disney's Magical Express to return home. Spoiler alert: He's not wrong! There is a certain excitement that comes with choosing the time of year for your visit, which Resort Hotel to try next, and which restaurants you would like to experience. I would say that planning is half the fun but the true joy for me is walking down the middle of Main Street, U.S.A., and seeing Cinderella Castle in the distance.

Vacation Packages for the following year are typically released in June but there is nothing typical about our experience right now. I checked with our sources and even reached out to Madame Leota. She called in the spirits and asked for a message from somewhere beyond, but alas, we only heard the faint sound of a tambourine. While I do hope that Vacation Packages will be released, it's too soon to know or even hazard a guess. My best recommendation is to keep a close eye on the Disney Parks Blog for any announcements.

While you are waiting, you can still browse the available choices for Resort Hotels and Restaurants. For our next vacation, my family has asked that we stay at a Resort Hotel with convenient access to the Disney Skyliner. We are currently trying to choose between a budget-friendly stay at Disney's Pop Century Resort or a bit of a splurge at Disney's Riviera Resort. We do know we hope to dine at Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera. Several of my fellow Moms Panelists have dined there and highly recommend it.

Ellie, thank you for visiting us with your question. As you continue to plan your adventure, I hope you'll let us know if we can assist you further.
Wishing you happy planning and a magical vacation,
    Amy H.
