We are planning a NYC trip and hope to use our points. Is there a place where I can see what are possible options and how many points they would be?

    Hello, David!

You're going to love a stay in New York City while using your Disney Vacation Club Membership!  What a great plan!

Of course, you can call Disney Vacation Club Member Services at (800) 800-9800 and ask for specific options for NYC.  However, I prefer to begin by checking out my DVC Vacation Planner: Reservation Tools 2012.  If you haven't yet received yours, just call Member Services and ask for one to be sent to you. If you aren't within easy access of your planner, just go onto DVCMember.com, log in, and click on "View Vacation Points Charts" under the "Plan My Vacation" box on the right side of the home page.  Once there, you can scroll down to the 2012 or 2013 sections which include links to "Nightly & Weekly Exchanges through RCI, which will let you know how many points you will need in order exchange your Disney Vacation Club Member points for an overnight (or weekly) stay at an RCI property.  You can also scroll down to the "Concierge Collection" for 2012 to see how many points it will take for a stay at Loews Regency Hotel, in NYC.  Points will range in all of these locations based on everything from time of year to type of room selected.

The first time I looked into an exchange using RCI, however, I called Member Services and a Cast Member was so helpful in giving me pointers and explaining what I'd need to consider when deciding when, where and how to book an exchange. Knowing my options made me feel far more comfortable that I had all the tools I needed to use my DVC Membership wisely.

Good luck in planning your spectacular trip to NYC using your DVC Membership!  Please feel free to send any more questions you may have as you think of them!  I'd love to help!
