I am planning a November 2025 visit to Disneyland. When will Halloween decorations go down and Christmas decorations go up?

    Hi Douglas,

Welcome back to planDisney! Thank you for continuing to trust us with your planning questions. The Disneyland Resort really pulls out all the stops when it comes to decor. From the parks to the hotels, no detail is left unattended.

If you’re planning a trip in the fall, you’ll want to be mindful of the seasonal decor change, so I’d be happy to shed some light on when you can catch the holiday magic.

Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort ends on October 31, 2025. After that, the Halloween decorations start to come down, and the transformation into The Holidays Begin. Guests visiting the parks in early November will see the festive decor gradually appear. The Holiday season officially begins on November 14 across the Resort. Hopefully, that timing matches up with your vacation plans!

If you are looking for a holiday treat, be sure to swing by Harbour Galley for a box of gingerbread cookies. They are delicious! Hot Take: I honestly prefer them over the Mickey-shaped gingerbread cookies.

If you are looking to get excited for your trip, I recommend one of our family traditions. We love to watch the documentary Decorating Disney: Holiday Magic on Disney+. It gives a behind-the-scenes look at how the Disney Parks get ready for the holidays. We love watching it because it really gets us into the holiday spirit!

I hope this information was helpful, Douglas. I’m sure you’ll have a fantastic holiday! If you have more questions or would like tips for your winter festivities, feel free to reach out to me or any of my fellow planDisney panelists. We're always here to add a little extra magical flurry to your vacation.

    Have a magical trip!
