Planning a nov 2015 trip! When does WL & AKL put up their trees? Probably will be on site from nov 7-18, resort switch during that time frame. Then off site until the 23rd but retiring to parks for two days! Thanks!!!

    Hi Laura,

Wilderness Lodge and Animal Kingdom Lodge have my two favorite trees at Christmas. I love the atmosphere at both resorts, but find them especially appealing during the holidays.

Christmas decorations start appearing first at Magic Kingdom, almost overnight after Halloween. The resorts and other parks follow pretty quickly, and you will find most decorations in place by mid-November. For example, the giant gingerbread house in the lobby of the Grand Floridian resort usually opens for business about Nov. 15.

So you should be able to see the most or all of the holiday finery during your visit. We like to take an afternoon to resort hop and compare the different trees, gingerbread displays and other decorations. That's an essential part of our Walt Disney World holiday tradition.

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question, and please let me know if I can help in any other way. Enjoy your visit!
