Hi moms! Planning our 4 nights WDW and 4 nights Bahamas Cruise next year and I wondered if transportation from the WDW resort will be provided by Disney's Magical Express to Port Canaveral from our hotel.

Welcome back to the Moms Panel, Rachel -

So great to hear that you are planning an awesome land and sea magical vacation -- that's my favorite kind of family getaway treat to enjoy. It just never gets old, and in fact, gets even better each and every time.

My family prefers to stay at the parks first as well. We enjoy all the attractions and burn all that energy on the first part of our vacation... then we set sail with Captain Mickey for the last half. The magic will appear seamless as you transition from Land to Sea, as you can take advantage of the Disney Cruise Line Ground Transportation to take you from your Disney Resort to Port Canaveral -- and then back again, or, from Port Canaveral to the airport. The motor coach will pick you up at the bus pickup area by your Disney Resort, and you and your family will be whisked away on a 45 minute to an hour ride to the port.

Disney Cruise Line will send you a separate set of instructions and luggage tags, since your checked in luggage can be picked up from your Disney Resort -- and they will take care of luggage handling all the way to the ship. The excitement starts right when you get on the bus, and you get dropped off right in front of the Port check-in area. You'll see your checked-in luggage next at your Stateroom, so don't forget to pack a day bag with extra clothing or swimsuits. Delivery of checked-in luggage will be sometime in the afternoon of embarkation day.

There is a cost of $35 per person each way or $70 round trip per person. It is the most convenient way of transporting your family, since Disney makes it easy and comfortable for everyone. You can add DCL Ground Transportation to your cruise reservation by calling your travel agent or the DCL Travel Desk directly at 1-800-951-3532.

Have fun planning your next magical vacation, Rachel!
