We're planning a 5 night journey on the Disney Magic. This will be our 2nd voyage and loved the rotational dining. Our last cruise was a 4 night, so we ate at 1 repeat. On the 5 night, do you repeat 2 restaurants or get assigned one for 3 dinners?

    Ahoy Cynthia!

It is with deepest pride and greatest pleasure that we welcome you back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I'm thrilled that you are a returning Disney cruiser and loved the dining options on your first sailing. Coincidentally, this is one of my favorite topics: FOOD!

Rotational dining is one unique feature of Disney Cruise Line, and I'm all for it! Getting to try different restaurants and yet keeping the same servers is one of the main reasons why we adore cruising with Captain Mickey. Some of our favorite servers wowed us with magic, origami, and jokes. It's as if they took Lumiere literally when he sang: "We tell jokes! I do tricks with my fellow candlesticks!" Our service teams have always impressed us with their high level of service and attention to details.

On your 5-night sailing on the Disney Magic, let's say you are assigned Rapunzel's Royal Table, Lumiere's and Animator's Palate in that order. The last two nights, you will rotate back around and dine at Rapunzel's Royal Table and Lumiere's again. The rotation selected, your seating time, and table number will all be listed on your Key to the World card. Each restaurant is represented by its first letter. If Guests would like to request a certain order for their rotation, they can have that noted on their reservation although it's not guaranteed that will be the one assigned.

Can I let you in on a little secret? You might fall in love with something from one of the other dining rooms but won't be making it back around to that restaurant again. Ask your servers if they can deliver that fabulous plate to your table. The servers will likely say, "Put our service to the test, tie your napkin 'round your neck, cherie and we'll provide the rest!" And let's just say I know this because I have a passion for the Grand Marnier soufflé'! If you simply cannot decide between two dishes, order both...it's your cruise!

If you look forward to your food as much as I do, then check out the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app to get a sneak peek at the dining room menus. It's like Disney Cruise Line's way of saying: "go on, unfold your menu, take a glance and then you'll be our guest!" I have totally strategized my entire order before even being handed the menu because I looked up the choices on the app ahead of time.

So relax, let them pull up a chair as the dining room proudly presents...your dinner! Wishing you the most MAGICal voyage ever!

    Bon Appetit!
