We are planning a 4 night Bahamian cruise for Jan. 2012. (Jan 8th - Jan 12th) How is the weather in Nassau and Castaway Cay normally at that time? And our son will be 3.5 and is there enough stuff to do/keep busy while on the boat? Thank you,

    Hi, Daniel!

You have picked a wonderful time of year to cruise on Disney Cruise Line (DCL)! While everyone else is shoveling snow, you'll be sailing off to the sunny Bahamas!

Usually, Bahamian temperatures are in the 70sF/20s C in January. However, winter weather is difficult to predict anywhere. Therefore, I suggest you keep tabs of Nassau's weather online or on your smart phone the week before you leave in order to know what to pack. I also recommend that you are aware of the weather all over the US the week before you travel...especially if you are flying. Guests who live in typically snowy winter climates would be wise to fly in the night before the Day of Embarkation -- the ships wait on no one.

There is plenty to do aboard any DCL ship to keep everyone in your family active and entertained as well as relaxed and pampered. The only problem with my children I've ever encountered aboard a Disney ship is trying to get them out of the Youth Clubs in order to spend time with the family! Some of our best family memories have been made on DCL!

Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
