Planning next year. Have alreadybeen early Dec and mid Feb. Can't decide between late May or late July. Which would be better for crowds? We are also trying to decided between ASM Family Suite and Cabins @ Ft Wilderness. Me, dh, ds(16), ds(10) dd(8).

Hi Karin!  Without a doubt I would recommend coming for your visit the end of May.  The further you get into the summer months the larger the crowds grow!  The weather will be similar with it being a little more hot and humid in the July month and more likely for the typical afternoon rain showers and storms.

Fort Wilderness cabins offer a great retreat with full kitchen facilities in a more quiet atmosphere that many guests love and return to year after year.  It gives you a completely different Disney experience and plenty to do for your children.  They are in the process of finishing renovations of their largest of two pools as well.  The one drawback is that the cabins have only one large bathroom.  There is a double pull down bed in the living area and in the bedroom you will find bunk beds and a double bed.

The All Star Music Family Suite is wonderful as I had the chance to take a peak at one recently.  This will provide you with two full bathrooms, one queen bed, double pull out sofa, and two single pull out ottomans.  This will also not give you the opportunity to have a full kitchen but it does provide you with a small microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker.  This will be a much busier feel of a resort.

The questions to ask to make the decision that is best for your family:
    full kitchen or two baths
    quiet resort or busy resort

I prefer the quiet and experience of the Wilderness Campgrounds but every family has to make the choice that is best for them.
