We are planning our next WDW vaca for Dec 2014 we are flexible on dates is there a better time to visit with lower crowd levels than over the week of Christmas? Looking at 1st or 2nd week.

Hello Jennifer and welcome to the Disney Parks Mom´s Panel.

My first activity during Walt Disney World vacation planning is date selection - based on crowd levels.  I always looking for the lowest crowd level per park during any given time, it does make a difference!

The first two weeks of December is an extra magical time to visit Walt Disney World.  The crowd levels can be fantastic and Christmas decorations and events are just everywhere.  I highly recommend Mickey´s Very Merry Christmas Party.  Besides special Christmas activities and shows guest may be able to enjoy really low crowds during most nights.  During this time of year guest will experience special Christmas activities and decorations through Walt Disney World parks and resorts.

My family was able to visit Walt Disney World during September, when Mickey´s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party starts, and also had a great time.

There is a difference on weather conditions between these two seasons, but at both crowd levels are at their best.

When friends ask for a relaxed Walt Disney World vacation, I always recommend the months of September and October, the first two weeks after thanksgiving and the first week after year´s end.
These fall under what Disney calls Value season, when prices are also at their lowest.

Happy to help you plan a magical Disney vacation.
Hope to hear more from you.
