I am planning my next trip to disney world florida but not sure what the best time of year is to go. I want it to be warm and want to go when the parks are most likely to be quiet. we just got back from florida two days ago but a little cold was only 75

    Hi Karen,

If you're looking for low crowds and warm temperatures then mid-September through mid-October is probably the best time for you to visit Walt Disney World.  The weather is still very summery.  In fact, it can be downright hot during the day, but you'll want a light jacket for the evenings.  For most people, school starts in late August or early September, so families aren't looking to take their children out of school for a vacation.  Consequently, crowds are usually very light at this time of year.  The exception would be Columbus Day weekend -- a lot of vacationers take advantage of the three day weekend, and the parks can be very crowded.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
