we are planning our next trip for Dec 26-31, 2011. I realize that we have a while before the calendar is released for that time, but are we safe in assuming that the activities will be the same or nearly the same as the schedule for this year?

    Hi Victoria,

Planning is one of the most exciting parts of a Disney World vacation!  It's easy to see why you're anxious to get started right away -- I'm the same way.

Although schedules and hours can differ from year to year, I think using this year's calendar is a good way to start planning your itinerary.  It's a safe bet that park hours and events will be similar next year.  This way you can have a tentative plan which you can always alter as the official schedule comes out 180 days prior to your vacation.

Hope this helps.  Have fun planning that magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
