Hi, we are planning our next stay and we're gonna be using the skyliner for the first time. We have 3 kids and it's more convenient for us to use a side-by-side stroller (ours is 30 inches wide only). Will we have to collapse our stroller? Thanks!

Hey Howdy Hey Emilie and welcome to planDisney!

I am so excited to hear you are planning your next trip to the Walt Disney World Resort really soon! The Disney Skyliner is a game changer when it comes to navigating around the resort. Not only will this allow quick access to the parks, and an option to visit other resorts along the way but your kids, and let's be honest adults too, will love this mode of transportation. Ok, so let's talk details of stroller navigation and the Skyliner.

The doorways to access the Skyliner are around 32 inches wide guided by ADA guidelines. If you have a stroller that is 30 inches wide, this may be a super tight fit. Another big consideration is getting on and off the Skyliner with a slow-moving ride vehicle.

I will say that trips we have taken with a stroller on the Skyliner can be anxiety-provoking! The stroller we use is a single rider and is about 17 inches so should provide enough clearance. As you board, the Skyliner is always moving, so with this moving target, it is inevitable I occasionally catch a wheel on the doorway. My wife refuses to handle this part and always leaves it to me! Overall it is no big issue but just something to think about.

The other side of the coin is based on Cast Member recommendations. If they feel your stroller may be too close of a fit, they will require you to collapse your stroller before boarding. I would plan on the expectation of folding your stroller due to the tight fit getting on and off the Skyliner with the size of your stroller.

Best of luck as you continue to plan for your Magical vacation next year. Please stop back and let us know if you have any other questions, we are always happy to help!
