Hi Gabriela! Thank you for reaching out to planDisney!
One of the many great things about the
Disney Resorts Collection hotels at the Walt Disney World Resort is that there is an incredible variety of options. Each resort has its own immersive theme, distinct amenities, and budget category. The
Value Resorts are exactly that: unique Disney resorts set at a more affordable price. But don't let "more affordable" fool you. These resorts are packed with just as much Disney magic as the other categories of hotels. You get access to great pools, free park transportation, access to
Early Theme Park Entry, and much more!
My favorite Value Resort is
Disney's Art of Animation Resort. Each section of this particular resort is themed after a different movie and my favorite is the section themed to
The Little Mermaid. It also has the largest pool on Walt Disney World property,
The Big Blue Pool.
Theme Park Tickets are required for every member of your travel party for every day you are planning to visit a park, even if you are entering the park after 6 PM. In addition, at this time, each Guest must also have
Theme Park Reservations for each day. You can check the
Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar to ensure there is availability on the dates you are planning to visit each park.
It was recently announced that if you are an
Annual Passholder, you will soon be able to enter the theme parks after 2 PM without needing a park reservation, except on Saturdays and Sundays at
Magic Kingdom Park. Please keep in mind that blockout dates will still apply. Keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for more announcements and information on this exciting new change!
Also, remember that the Walt Disney World Resort is usually offering
various discounts at various times throughout the year. If one doesn't work for you now, keep checking back to see if more are released closer to your trip.
Personally, I like to either relax and explore my resort or plan a trip to
Disney Springs on my arrival day. If you are staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, there is free roundtrip transportation from the hotel to Disney Springs and there is so much to do there! From bowling at
Splitsville Luxury Lanes, to merchandise shopping at
World of Disney, to dining at an amazing restaurant like
Chef Art Smith's Homecomin', there is plenty to see and do.
I hope that you and your travel party have a fantastic vacation!
Enjoy,
Matt
