Planning our next Disney trip with another family. Do our dining reservations and FP all have to be the same? For example our girls want to visit princesses, but the boys want to ride space mountain. Or my family wants Chef Mickey’s but our friends don’t?

Hi Brandy. Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It's so nice to see you again!

One of the magical things about traveling to Walt Disney World Resort is the flexibility when traveling with multiple people. We have done this many times and you absolutely can make separate dining reservations and FastPass+ selections. Each family can make reservations or FastPass+ selections for their individual must do attractions and you can plan times accordingly for both families to be together.

Make sure you are all linked on your Family & Friends list in your My Disney Experience account so you are able to be together for the dining and attractions you will be experiencing as a group.

My family of 4 sometimes does this as well. Each parent will head off for an adventure with one kiddo. We typically enjoy a meal and an attraction or two and then meet up with the rest of the family. It's really special to have a daddy/daughter or mom/son date in the middle of our magical vacation.

I'm really excited for you and know you will enjoy your vacation with the other family. The time spent just with your family will be great too and you will all make memories you will treasure for a lifetime.

Thanks so much for sharing your question with the Disney Parks Moms Panel. It's so nice to see you planning another Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Please let us know if we can help with any other tips or advice as you continue planning your magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
