Planning multifamily trip for May 2015 - 12 people (Family of 6,4,2)- any ideas on where to start? Thinking of staying at POR since 1 family has 6 - 1 will stay with us, so 5 and 5 in those rooms. Is it hard to get dining res. for 12? Any advice will help!

    HI Heather,

Thanks so much for stopping by the Moms Panel to ask your question. We're honored to help you plan your May 2015 vacation!

For a party of 12, there are great Walt Disney World Resort hotel options. Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside would be a great choice, since some accommodations have 2 queen size beds and a Murphy bed available for guests. Another great option would be a Wilderness Cabin at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort, which offers a living room area, full bathroom, patio and a fully equipped kitchen. I think Fort Wilderness is a great option if you have older children, or more adults than children in your party. If you'd like to see all Resorts that are able to accommodate larger parties, click here: Rooms for 5 Guests or More.

When making Advanced Dining Reservations for larger parities, I always advise guests to do so through a telephone call rather than online. Cast Members are great at helping to book your large party. If you are looking to dine at a special time, it helps to have a live person to sprinkle some pixie dust on your efforts. When you reach your 180 day window, call (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463 and a Cast Member will be more than happy to help you book your Advanced Dining Reservations.

I hope this helps you, Heather. If you have any other questions while planning your vacation, feel free to ask me at any time. I'm always here to help.

    Have a fantastical Disney day!
