Hi! Planning a multi-generational, multi-birthday (2nd, 4th, and 70th) trip to Walt Disney World at end of January. It will be the children's first time to Disney! What are the differences between Contemporary Club Level and Polynesian Club Level?

    Hi Alexandra!

I love that your family will be celebrating so many birthdays at Walt Disney World Resort! Make sure your whole crew picks up complimentary celebration buttons at check-in or from Guest Services to let the whole (Walt Disney) World know that you're all birthday-ing it up!

I love a good Club Level everything when I travel, and when staying at Walt Disney World Resort the level of service and care you receive is top notch no matter which Disney Deluxe Resort Hotel you choose. All Club Level Lounges follow the same food service schedule: breakfast from 7 A.M. until 10:30 A.M.; light snacks from Noon until 4 P.M.; Appetizers and beverage from 5 P.M. until 7 P.M.; Desserts from 8 P.M. until 10 P.M. Coffee is available from open until close, and water and soda are 24/7.

The real differences between Disney's Contemporary Resort and Disney's Polynesian Village Resort are of course the Resort's theming, which also extends to the food selection offered in each club lounge. Both serve 'normal' items, like bagels and oatmeal for breakfast or chicken fingers and a charcuterie board during the appetizer hours. But to play on each hotels theme, additional dishes at the Contemporary will have more modern twist like braised short ribs over polenta, where the Polynesian will have a more tropical feel, like chicken skewers in a teriyaki sauce. One bonus point for the Polynesian lounge is they serve the famous POG Juice. (POG is a blend of Papaya, Orange and Guava juices, and is fantastic.) Both lounges have outstanding views of Magic Kingdom Park.

I would also consider the other Resort Hotel amenities, like the pools. We stayed at the Contemporary in March, and while my 2-year-old loved the splash pad, I think he would have had a better time at the Polynesian's children's pool play area because it has a small waterslide.

We'll See You in 2019, Alexandra!
