Michael, thank you for stopping by planDisney, and many congratulations on your new bundle of joy!
I love this question as it reminds me of taking my three Mouseketeers to
Disneyland for the first time. Like yours, my kids visited
The Happiest Place on Earth in their first months of life. Lucky kids! Michael, you and your family are going to have a great time, and here are tips to help you navigate your daughter's first visit.
Perhaps my biggest piece of advice is to know the location of the
Baby Care Center in each of the theme parks; at Disneyland Park, it is located at the end of Main Street, U.S.A. by
First Aid, and at
Disney California Adventure Park it is next to Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop. The Baby Care Centers have nursing areas, baby changing stations, microwaves, and vending machines with things like diapers and formula. Even with a diaper bag filled to the brim, I still managed to forget wipes on more than one occasion!
One of the most memorable things that you can do with your little one at Disneyland on her first visit is to meet Mickey Mouse and his pals! Luckily, most days they can be found right in Town Square at Disneyland Park and on Buena Vista Street in Disney California Adventure (DCA) Park. Grab some snaps and then enjoy a ride on one of the
Main Street Vehicles in Disneyland Park or the
Red Car Trolley in DCA.
Speaking of rides, did you know that you can use the map in the
Disneyland Mobile App to find attractions with no height requirement that are perfect for the whole family? From the app home screen, click on the location pin at the bottom of the screen. This opens the Resort map, where you can select "Attractions," and then click "Filter." This will bring you to all filter options, including the height filter, where you can select "Any Height." In Disneyland Park, some of the many rides that you and your little one can enjoy are
Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway, "it's a small world," Pirates of the Caribbean, and most of the rides in Fantasyland. At DCA, you can enjoy WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure,
Turtle Talk with Crush, Toy Story Midway Mania! and more.
With so many things to see and do, make sure to keep yourself well-fueled with some fabulous treats at the Resort. I prefer to mobile order my food in the Disneyland app so that I don't have to wait in line with little ones and I can schedule the food for a time that works for me. Some of my personal favorites - that also happen to be easy to eat with one hand - are the Hand-dipped Corn Dogs from Little Red Wagon or Corn Dog Castle, the Cream Cheese-filled Pretzel at the cart near Star Tours, and the Affogato (with or without Irish Cream Liquor) at Schmoozies! in DCA.
Michael, you are your family are in for some serious memory-making!
