Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Karen!

I’m so excited you are going to be enjoying the magical kick-off to the holidays at the Walt Disney World Resort! There truly is nothing like the Holidays at Disney. The spirit of the season just fills the air, and with the beautiful decorations, themed treats offered throughout the theme parks and resorts, and all the special activities and events to celebrate the season, it’s a great time to visit!

The transformation of the theme parks and resort hotels is seamless and with your dates you’ll probably get to witness some of it. If you want to learn more about how the resorts and parks get their halls decked to celebrate the best time of the year, I recommend Disney's Yuletide Fantasy tour where you an get a behind-the-scenes look at how it all happens.

Karen, Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is the un-official kick-off to the Holiday Season at the Walt Disney World Resort. That first party night, you will get to enjoy the lighting of the castle prior to the start of the party. Official schedules have not been released, but historically, the lighting of the castle has happened around 6pm. As your dates get closer, check the schedules on the website so you can get an official time and plan to be there. It’s quite the dazzling sight!

I hope this helps answer your question. If you have any additional planning questions or need tips or advice, be sure to stop by and see us.

    Wishing you a magical day,
