Planning Mickey Halloween party before our cruise, just few hrs in park for party. Does make sense to pay for Memory Maker? Or will be ok with Photo Pass? Also, what special opportunities for pictures at event?

Hi, Mary Julie! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

What an exciting land and sea Disney vacation! Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is my favorite ticketed event at Walt Disney World Resort! I just love the convenience knowing that Memory Maker will link all my Disney PhotoPass photos to my My Disney Experience account and that I have access to all my Disney Character photos, Magic Shots and even some Attraction photos and videos! That being said, did you know that you can actually purchase “Memory Maker One Day”? This would be a great option for Guests like yourself who are actually only visiting for ONE day! It is a little hidden, so here’s how to get to it:

    1) Download or go to your My Disney Experience mobile app, tap on the three bar menu and select "PhotoPass" (NOT Memory Maker) and you will be prompted to select a photo.

    2) You will then be given 3 options:
        A) Unlimited downloads of Your Vacation Photos,
        B) Unlimited downloads of Your Photos for This Day,
        C) Unlimited downloads of This Photo.

If you select option B, then you are purchasing Memory Maker One Day! Please note that you can ONLY get to it using the mobile app. As for special Disney Photopass Character greetings, keep your eye out for your favorite villains, The Seven Dwarfs and more!

    Have a magical vacation!
