Hi Erin,
A mega vacation at Walt Disney World Resort. How exciting! And let me tell you that
Disney's Coronado Springs Resort is my family's favorite.
Recreating Spanish Colonial Mexico, it has that rustic but charming theme surrounding Lago Dorado. We enjoy taking a walk around it, or having a siesta on one of the hammocks. My two young padawans love the Lost City of Cibola Pool and sliding down Jaguar Slide.
Let’s not forget the different dining options available.
Maya Grill, with its Nuevo Latino fusion cuisine, is a must do, and our family’s favorite,
Pepper Market, one of the best Quick-Service offerings in the whole Walt Disney World Resort.
We drive, so we always have our car available; however, during the last few stays, it's been parked from check-in to check-out. A walk around the lake is approximately 1.1 miles and it definitely would take you less than 12 parsecs to circle it! The bus transportation system has always worked wonderfully for us. The complex has four bus stops, including a stop at El Centro, and all buses loop around. In the morning, instead of walking, you can take any bus destined to a theme park to go from stops 2 through 4 towards stop 1 (El Centro). Or you can take a bus destined towards Disney Springs from El Centro and get off at stops 2 through 4.
Come back with anytime with any question you may have. And an final tip for you - when you get on a bus, simply do as the announcer in the bus says: "Sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride."
Ricardo.
