David from FL Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

I am planning to be there for May the 4th, but if I remember right last year, this was about the time the Halfway to Halloween treats were around the resorts and the like I was wondering if there was info on that happening again, to plan resort hopping!

Hey Howdy Hey David and welcome to planDisney!

One of the best times to visit the Walt Disney World Resort is in the fall for the Halloween season. There usually is so much excitement for the spooky celebration, not to mention a not-so-spooky celebration in Magic Kingdom with Mickey's Not-So-Scarry Halloween party, that the Disney community cannot wait for this ghostly time of the year. To kick off the excitement, in the past Disney has had a "halfway to Halloween" celebration on their social media channels as well as options to celebrate in the parks as you mentioned. I will be happy to share what we know so far about this milestone.

You have it right so far David, halfway to Halloween is a big milestone we celebrate as we all look forward to a very popular After Hours Event in Magic Kingdom with Mickey's Not-So-Scarry Halloween party during this eerie time of year. The celebration has typically kicked off towards the end of April and early May. While we can make predictions based on things that have happened in the past, without solid confirmation from Disney, predictions are all we have. As of this writing, Disney has not officially confirmed any special halfway-to-Halloween festivities or treats, so specific information on where to find them is not currently available. I would recommend you follow along at Disney Parks Blog or any of the Disney Parks social media accounts for the latest news and celebrations.

Resort hopping is always a top recommendation that I have for anyone visiting Walt Disney World. There are so many unique offerings, shopping and entertainment at the various resorts and is a fun way to spend an afternoon or a full day when outside of the parks. One of my favorite places to visit is over at Disney's Riviera Resort. Le Petit Cafe is an amazing place to grab a drink and a tasty treat while you kick back into this beautiful resort celebrating the French Riviera. The bonus is not only will you have an amazing resort to check out, but you will also have a very unique form of transportation to get to this location with the Disney Skyliner!

David, I am sorry I cannot give you more solid news on any formal celebrations during your upcoming vacation, but my fingers are crossed we hear about this soon! If you have any further questions, please feel free to reach back out and let us know, we are always happy to help.

    Have a Magical day,

    Nick
