Hi there! We’re planning a March trip and considering Park Hopper Plus. How many parks can we hop to in one day? Also, can we still interact with characters if we see them around the parks?

    Hiya Amy,

Thank you so much for stopping by planDisney with your questions. I bet you are counting down the days until you can trade in those snowy Massachusetts mornings for sunshine, palm trees, and magical Disney moments. And let me tell you, March is a practically perfect time to visit. As a Floridian for over two decades, I can confidently say the weather in March is just right. Not too hot, not too cold, and practically perfect for strolling down Main Street.

So Amy, let’s hop right into your question. You will be happy to know that with the Park Hopper Plus option, you can visit all four theme parks in one day. Yes, that even means you can attempt the famous four park challenge if you want to! Now while I have never done the four park challenge, I can imagine it looking something like this: First, starting your morning at EPCOT riding Guardians of the Galaxy, then heading over to  Animal Kingdom for a delicious lunch at Satu’li Canteen, next making your way to Hollywood Studios to ride Tower of Terror, and ending the night in Magic Kingdom while watching Happily Ever After light up the sky. With a Park Hopper ticket, that magical day is absolutely possible. Just keep in mind that hopping to another park is always subject to park capacity on that day.

Amy, you can also absolutely still interact with characters when you see them around the parks. In fact, my family and I were just in EPCOT and had the most whimsical experience with Alice from Alice in Wonderland in the United Kingdom Pavilion. She was searching for the Cheshire Cat and asking Guests to help her look for him. My girls helped Alice search high and low for almost 20 minutes. She even ran around the building with them and chatted with other Guests along the way. It was such a magical and unforgettable interaction.

That particular experience was more spontaneous, so Alice did not sign autograph books, but my daughters were able to take photos with her and talk with her, and it became a core memory we will always treasure. If you are hoping for more traditional character meet-and-greets where characters pose for photos and sign autographs, be sure to check the My Disney Experience app. You will find a list of character locations and times right there, making it easy to plan those special moments into your day.

Amy, I hope this helps answer your questions and gets you even more excited for your upcoming trip. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to visit us again.

    See you real soon,

    Christina
