We are planning a March and I just found out that I have celiac disease. Where can I find legit gluten free spots to eat? Taking my 3 kids, 11, 8 and 6 with my folks who are in their 60s. Looking for a fun and memorable experience.

    Hi Kelsey,

I love knowing that you're traveling with the kids and your parents.  You all are going to have so much fun together, and the memories you collect along the way are going to be amazing and priceless!

Walt Disney World Resort's culinary team is thoroughly dedicated to creating enjoyable dining experiences for each one of their Guests.  When you make your Advance Dining Reservations, please have the Castmember you are speaking with (or note it online) add your gluten allergy to your reservation.

You can also email Special.Diets@disneyworld.com to let the dining team know that you have a gluten allergy.  They will correspond with you and together you can decide on the safest options.  Trust me, they are perfectly prepared for all types of dietary restrictions.

When you arrive at the restaurant please tell your server that you have a food allergy.  The servers are trained to ask, so this is a "just in case" tip.  The chef will come out to speak with you personally about your allergy, and will decide with you, what meals will be prepared and how.  Keep in mind that most of the Disney restaurants now have allergy-friendly menus, just ask for one if you'd like to see it.

If you're dining at a Quick Service restaurant please tell the Castmember behind the counter what your concerns are.  A manager will bring you a book with lists of all of the ingredients that each menu item contains.

I can assure you that the Disney culinary team will make every effort to accommodate you.  If you have any other questions please let us know.  We're very happy to help.

    Have a magical day!

Magic Kingdom still takes my breath away, but my favorite place to be is on a Disney ship looking at the horizon and breathing in that crisp, clean ocean air!  I love planning Disney vacations for others and making sure it's more than they dreamed. Learn More About Marisol
