Hi! Planning a March 2017 Disney Cruise and not sure if my husband or a grandma will be joining me and the kiddies. Should I leave their name off the initial reservation and add or later or put one on there now? We would all be staying in the same room.

    Welcome Aboard, Cassie!

Thanks for visiting us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thanks for your question!

Planning a cruise this far in advance can be tricky - while you get good rates, there can be uncertainty about whether or not the dates will work for some Guests.

Guests are more than welcome to modify their reservation at a later date, and add additional people to the stateroom. The only issue is that when you modify the reservation, the current rates apply to the whole reservation. If the price has increased, the entire reservation would be subject to the higher rate.

Another thing to consider is that Disney Cruise Line has a maximum number of Guests allowed on each sailing, regardless of how many your stateroom will hold. If the cruise fills up, you might not be able to add an extra Guest at a later time.

My advice would be to book the room with the family member that will most likely be going on the trip, to make sure to have the reservation for the correct number of people you'll have in your stateroom. If you have to make a change later, at least you'll already have the spot accounted for.

I hope this helps! Please let us know if we can help answer any other questions as you plan your Disney Cruise Line vacation.

    Have a magical day! - Diane W.
