Hello Caithlin!
I am happy to help you make your decision between these two outstanding resorts! I happen to love both of them, each for their own unique benefits and offerings.
At
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, guests are immersed in Victorian charm. Some folks think that it is not the place for kids. I can tell you with certainty that this is absolutely not the case. From the pool slide to the
Pirate Adventure Cruise, you will see this is not an adults only crowd! The grounds of the resort are pristine and lovely, and you'll feel like you are in another world. However, Magic Kingdom Park is just one stop away on the Disney Monorail.
Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort offers modern rooms with outstanding views of Bay Lake and Magic Kingdom Park. Speaking of Magic Kingdom, did you know that you can
walk there from this resort? And at the end of your day, this resort is the first stop on the Disney Monorail after leaving Magic Kingdom. There is Sky Way Bridge which connects Bay Lake Tower to Disney's Contemporary Resort hotel where you can dine at Chef Mickey's. Be sure to make advance dining reservations there!
As I love both resorts, I really can't think of any negatives to either choice. I think your choice will come down to which theming you prefer. Both are equally suited for children and adults. Is there anything else I can help with? Just let me know.
Until then, I wish you a truly
magical vacation!
