Hi, planning on making my first trip to Disney World 11/11. My son, who will be 10 when we go is a Type 1 Diabetic and has to have 3 meals and 3 snacks per day. Is there a way to purchase 2 different meal plans?

    Hi Cherie,

Congratulations on booking your first trip to Walt Disney World.  You and your son must be so excited!  He is at such an amazing age to enjoy the most magical place on earth.  My son is very close in age to yours and he just adores his Disney vacations.

At present, it is not possible to purchase two different meal plans, and even if you could, I'm not sure it would make financial sense.  It would probably be a better idea to purchase the quick service dining plan (which affords each person two quick service meals and two snacks per day) and then pay out of pocket for the least expensive meal and snack each day.  (That gives you a total of three meals and three snacks, which meets your son's requirement.) It's also possible for your son to use your snack credits if you don't use them all.  Then, of course, there's always the option of bringing a few snacks with you from home or a local grocery store.

I hope these suggestions are helpful.  Don't hesitate to post additional questions as they occur to you.

    Best wishes,
    Jill
