Welcome to Disney Parks Moms Panel, July!
Oh, my goodness; your little princess is turning 3 and you are celebrating at the most magical place on Earth--how wonderful!
Your question about transportation is an excellent one, and the answer depends on how you'll tour and where you're staying. With a 3-year-old princess, you may opt for many visits to
Magic Kingdom, which means that if you drive, you will need to park your car at the Transportation & Ticketing Center, then take a tram over to MK.
When we stay at a
Walt Disney World Resort hotel adjacent to the monorail, we rely on resort transportation; the monorail provides easy service to Magic Kingdom and it's a quick transfer to hop over to Epcot. Even the stroller does not need to fold up when taking a monorail!
If staying at a
Disney's BoardWalk area resort, it's an easy walk to Epcot as well as a quick walk--or cruise on a Friendship Boat--to Disney's Hollywood Studios. If staying at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, it's a quick bus ride over to Disney's Animal Kingdom Park. Staying at a different WDW hotel? Transportation is easy, but you need to allow 1 1/2 hours to get from Point A to Point B. Typically, travel time is much shorter, but this is Disney's recommendation for planning purposes.
Should you have a very early breakfast reservation or cut your transportation time a little too close to rely on a bus, a taxi might be useful.
Driving around Walt Disney World is super-easy, so some guests prefer to have a car with them for the most flexibility.
Send more questions as you plan, July; we love to help!
