Greetings, Ana Lucia! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
It is so exciting that you will be taking your little one to the Disneyland Resort for the first time! There is so much for kids to explore and you will love seeing the magic through his eyes. Mickey is the mouse that started it all so you can bet that Mickey can be found in both parks. He is available to meet along Buena Vista Street in Disney California Adventure Park and in Town Square in Disneyland Park, but you will definitely want to plan to
meet him in his house in Mickey's Toontown. You get to walk through Mickey's living room, see his many collectibles, and then make your way to Mickey's Movie Barn where you can meet Mickey himself. It's a really fun experience for any Mickey fan!
If you are visiting over the weekend, take some time to see
Mickey and the Magical Map. This stage show features Mickey and many other Disney characters singing iconic songs from Disney films. It's a delightfully energetic show and a great way to take a bit of a break from the hustle and bustle of the parks.
Dinosaurs are a little harder to come by at the Disneyland Resort, but there is a special hidden gem that your son will enjoy. If you take a ride on the
Disneyland Railroad and travel between the Tomorrowland station and the Main Street, U.S.A station, you will get to see the Grand Canyon and Primeval World dioramas complete with many dinosaurs and prehistoric creatures. These dioramas are breathtaking and a little unexpected magic to experience at the park.
I hope this gives you some ideas of what to plan for your upcoming trip. See ya real soon!
