Hey there Brooke, I'd like to wish you a very Royal welcome to planDisney!
I'm so glad to be able to answer your question before you head out to Walt Disney World Resort tomorrow for a whirlwind one-day visit to
Magic Kingdom Park; working for
Disney Cruise Line in the past we'd often have the ability to very quickly pop in for the day before immediately heading to the airport or back to the ship so I feel especially well-equipped to help give you some pointers on this one!
You'll be happy to hear that you'll definitely be able to head out to one of the resorts surrounding the Seven Seas Lagoon and utilize the
complimentary Resort Transportation from Magic Kingdom Park to get to either
Disney's Contemporary Resort,
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort or
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. From these Disney Resort Hotels it's relatively easy and quite comfortable to be picked up for a scheduled ride to head directly to the airport, even later in the evening, but in my personal experience I've often noticed that it could cost slightly less to request your ride from the
Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC) if you take the Walt Disney World Monorail System there. (The big drawback to this is being more exposed to the elements if you choose to be picked up from the outdoor waiting area!)
During the weekdays just be sure to give yourself some additional time around rush hour when folks and families are commuting back home from work or school, since I know first-hand just how tempting it can be to squeeze in just one more ride before making a mad dash to the airport! Be sure to take advantage of your
My Disney Experience App while you're here to really make the most of the limited time you'll have, but I truly wish you and your travel party have as much fun as possible while you can! Come back to us here at planDisney
for any other tips or tricks to help plan any other upcoming (or even longer) adventures to any Disney Destinations.
Here's to making every magical moment count during your Disney day!
