Hi Amanda,
Welcome to planDisney!
As much as I love to plan in advance, planning a last-minute visit is quite exciting! Your research so far seems outstanding. Each of those resort hotel choices are lovely. Aside from the different storytelling themes at each location, I will point out that Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort has table-service dining in addition to quick-service options. At Disney's Caribbean Beach, we have
Sebastian's Bistro. At Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter, you could walk over to
Boatwright's Dining Hall located at Disney's Port Orleans - Riverside.
My family loves resort hotels with multiple transportation options, so note that Disney's Art of Animation and Caribbean Beach resorts both have access to the
Disney Skyliner in addition to
Walt Disney World® Bus Service. You would be able to use the Skyliner to get to EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios and to Disney's Riviera resort in case you want to dine at
Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera. Disney's Port Orleans - French Quarter has access to
Walt Disney World® Water Transportation with service to Disney Springs.
Now, let's talk about that gluten-free diet. Be sure to review the information on
Special Dietary Requests. Then, always check the menus of the dining locations you plan to visit. For example, taking a look at the
Topolino's Terrace breakfast menu, if you scroll through the menu, you will see some gluten-free options. To see a dining location's menu, just go to the homepage of that location and click on the option to View Menu. Then select the meal period you would like to see. When you make your
advanced dining reservations, also indicate any food allergies. If you can check-in for your dining reservation on the
My Disney Experience Mobile App, also note that food allergy. Finally, when you arrive to the restaurant, talk with the cast member who serves you about any allergies. One of our girls has four significant food allergies, so we are always quite careful. She's able to navigate dining at Disney and we have been pleased with the level of attention provided. She also always speaks to the chef if she has questions. Finally, be sure to review all of the
Services for Guests with Disabilities prior to your arrival.
Amanda, I have to add that my husband and I spent our honeymoon at Walt Disney World and stayed at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter. So this resort holds special memories for us. We loved walking around the grounds of the resort hotel in the evening. Get that vacation package booked! No matter which resort you choose, I trust that you will have an amazing visit!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
