Hi, Joan!
Wow. I'm a bit teary-eyed
for you, as I see that your last question was sent to the Panel when your daughter was only 11 years old. Can't believe how quickly they grow up, right? (My little guy just turned 12, and I get a bit weepy each spring as I send yet another 100+ of my high school seniors off to college, too. I get it. Completely.)
First,
Disney's Art of Animation Resort is a beautiful place to call home while you tour WDW, and booking a Family Suite here will give you all the luxury of two full bathrooms plus a convenient mini-kitchen. The Quick Service location here is my favorite anywhere in WDW, too, as Landscape of Flavors offers so many delicious choices you just don't see elsewhere.
On the other hand,
Disney's Moderate Resort Hotels offer some nice options you won't find at a Value Resort. This includes additional dining options, such as Maya Grill or Pepper Market at
Disney's Coronado Springs Resort. You'll also find Moderate Resort Hotels have features such as pool slides and hot tubs, both of which may appeal to your family at this stage. Personally, my son and I just loved our stay at
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside, as this resort is elegantly beautiful. The mansions of Magnolia Bend were a lovely sight to see at the end of day of park hopping.
No matter what, we can help ensure that this is just the right trip for your family at this very significant time in your lives: your baby is just about grown! Send more questions as you plan your visit, Joan. I'd love to help make this more magical than you could have imagined. <3
