We are planning a last minute trip for April (2nd trip). We will be doing a 2 day park hopper and taking a day trips. Planning to stay a all-star sports (cheaper). Not sure about dining plan since we will only be a the park for 2 days. Advice please!!!

    Hi Cheri,

Many guests find the dining plan convenient and economical since your food costs are paid in advance at a discounted rate. However, the benefits diminish quickly if you don't use all the meal and snack credits. Since you will be away from the Walt Disney World property for a portion of your visit, I would be concerned about your ability to use all your credits.

You certainly don't want to pay for food you won't have a chance to eat. So in your situation, I'm not sure the dining plan would be a good value.

My inclination would be to decide what your food budget is for your time in the Walt Disney World resort and then, if table service meals fit your budget, make dining reservations at appropriate restaurants. You can explore the menus on the Walt Disney World website. Or one of my favorite resources for dining planning is the unofficial site, AllEars.net.

I hope that helps. Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. Enjoy your visit!
