Planning a land/sea trip for daughter's 10th Bday in Aug 2013. What's the best way to book: 4-Day Disney(room, 6 day pass, dining plus), 4-Night Cruise, 2 add'l nights at Disney? Will Disney provide all transportation? Will trip ins cover everything?

Hi Sharita! You will absolutely love celebrating your daughter's 10th birthday on an amazing Disney Surf and Turf vacation!

You can book a land and sea vacation directly through Disney Cruise Line, or you can book each portion of your trip separately. You might want to compare pricing before making a final decision. However, regardless of which option you choose, I definitely recommend staying at a Disney Resort Hotel prior to cruising. That way your family will be eligible for complimentary motor coach transportation to your Disney Resort-hotel with Disney's Magical Express Service from/to the Orlando International Airport.

You can arrange for Disney Cruise Line Ground Transfers for transportation to Port Canaveral. This service is available for $35 per person each way. Included in the price of your Disney Cruise Line Ground Transfers is baggage handling and Onboard Airline Check-In. Simply place the special Disney Cruise Line luggage tags on your bags, check them at your Pre-Cruise Disney Resort-hotel prior to sailing, and the next time you see them will be in your stateroom!

If you are returning home after the cruise, you will receive your boarding passes along with valet luggage tags a day prior to disembarkation. You will be able to skip luggage claim at the port terminal and bypass the airline check-in counter at the airport. To add Ground Transfers to your cruise package, call (800) 951-3532. Be prepared to provide your Disney resort reservation Confirmation Number, as well as, inbound, and outbound flight details. On Debarkation Day do allow ample time for travel logistics. Disney Cruise Line recommends 12:30 p.m. as the earliest possible flight departure time.

I recommend purchasing trip insurance through InsureMyTrip online.
