Hi Moms! DH and I are planning a Land/Sea pkg w/ my sis, DH, and 15 yr old son next summer. What do you suggest for my nephew to not feel like "the 5th wheel"? Planning 3 night Bahamas on Dream w/ 5 nights at Yacht Club. Thanks, and we love the p

    Hi Brianna!
A Land and Sea package is the best! Nothing like getting to sail the high seas with Captain Mickey AND get to visit Cinderella's Castle. Staying at Disney's Yacht Club Resort will keep you immersed in the elegant nautical atmosphere you had aboard the ship - great planning!

With all the fun youth activities onboard a Disney Cruise, your 15 year old nephew is sure to find plenty to keep him occupied, and not feeling like a "5th wheel". I encourage you to have him visit Vibe, the "teens only" club, the first afternoon of your sailing. This is a great time for him to meet the Youth Counselors, hear about the fun activities, and maybe even make some new friends. Teens even have their own sundeck and smoothie bar! Check your Personal Navigator each day for a schedule of youth activities.

When you visit Castaway Cay, there's a teens-only Port Adventure: The Wild Side Teen Adventure. He can enjoy a day of snorkeling, biking and kayaking while you enjoy some quality beach time.

For the "land" portion of your trip, get your nephew involved in planning your daily itinerary! Make sure to get FastPass+ reservations for his favorite rides, and maybe let him choose some of your dining locations. Another fun activity he might enjoy is a visit to DisneyQuest or Splitsville Luxury Lanes.

I hope this helps - with proper planning, he is sure to have a magical time, and you will too!
