We are planning to take our kids to WDW Spring 2013, I was wondering if you had any suggestions for resorts on disney that have a fully functioning kitchen and a seperate bedroom from the living room area. Thanks

    Hello, Jeremy!

Your thoughts on having a fully-functioning kitchen as well as a separate bedroom from the sleeping area is a very smart one!  We learned years ago that those two items, when combined with an in-room washer and dryer, really make our stays at Walt Disney World so much more like home...if my front, back and side yards were theme parks, that is!

Take a look at these accomodations at Walt Disney World Resort, all of which have a fully-functioning kitchen as well as separate living areas from the bedroom(s). Click on any one of these resorts and check out the one, two and three-bedroom villas for more information. These villas come fully equipped with dinnerware, glassware, flatware, pots and pans as well as appliances. (A complete list of such items can be found by selecting the resort, then clicking "Room Types & Pricing" on that same page.) Each of these villas also has a washer and dryer in the villa, too, which helps us to pack much more lightly. On our last visit to Bay Lake Tower, I even discovered that our range had a warming drawer, which was really handy for heating up our leftover pretzel bread from Le Cellier!

In addition, you can try The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. These cabins include a separate bedroom as well as fully equipped kitchens, too!

Finally, there are other options, too, if you'd like to try a Family Suite, for example, which includes a mini-kitchen, not a fully-equipped kitchen.

Send more questions as you consider your options! I'd love to help!
