    We are planning our kids' (ages 8 & 10 when we travel) first Disney trip for May 2012! What would be the best week to go in May? We are hoping to avoid too much heat & crowds. Thanks!!!

    First trip, so exciting!!!!!!!  Your kids will be thrilled!!!!

    I would try to go with the first week of May.  It will be warm but it will get hot as the month progresses.

    End of May and beginning of June some schools start their summer break so if you can go early in May that would be my choice.

    Check the long range forecast before you leave so you have a better idea of what kind of weather to expect.
