Hi Jennifer,
I absolutely love a stay at
Disney's Old Key West. The accommodations are so spacious, and I love the overall laid-back vibe at the resort.
I believe from your question that you exchanged through a timeshare program such as RCI in order to be able to stay at Disney's Old Key West Resort. I am excited for you to experience a Disney Vacation Club resort for the first time! If I am correct and this is what you did, you should get a reservation number for your stay. Once you have this number, you can call Disney Vacation Club Member Services at 1-800-800-9800 and they should be able to assist you. Simply explain that you are not a member, rather that you exchanged in through RCI, and the cast member should be able to help with your needs, including the Disney Dining Plan as well as I believe theme park tickets. Disney Vacation Club Members are able to add on the Disney Dining Plan separately without a package.
Cast members at Disney Vacation Club Member Services can assist members with dining reservations, so I imagine they could help you as well once they have your reservation. However, you should know that you can also make your dining reservations using the
online Disney Dining Reservation system, or by calling (407) WDW-DINE (407-939-3463) as you have probably done for your past trips to Walt Disney World. I see that your date to make these reservations is coming up soon, so if you need to go ahead and make those and your resort reservation number has not yet come through, this gives you an option.
I want to thank my fellow Disney Parks Moms Panelist and Disney Vacation Club Specialist Kari for her help with this answer. Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions about your first trip with Disney Vacation Club!
