Planning for Jan/Feb trip (12 days Me and DD 5 & 8). Torn between val & mod resorts. Notice POR wasn't on free dining and I was hoping for that on if there is a Stay Play Dine. Was it offered last year? Do you have any opinions on val/mod resorts?

    Hi Sherry!

As I remember, Port Orleans - Riverside was included on last year's Play, Stay, and Dine promotion.  As always, availability can be limited, but I do not remember it being excluded.  This does not guarantee that it will be included in 2015, but only gives you a history for the specific promotion.

Given the option between a Value Resort and a Moderate Resort, we'd go with the Moderate each time.  We find that they give us a bit more room, which might be important when spending 12 days together in close quarters.  If you aren't going to be spending much time at your resort you use many of the other offered amenities, then I'd definitely say to save the money and stay at a Value Resort.  They are fabulous and fun, and are a great value!  It truly depends on what your budget looks like.  While Port Orleans - Riverside is our favorite Moderate Resort, there are other great options such as Disney's Coronado Springs Resort, and Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort.

Whichever resort you choose, have a magical vacation!
