Hi! I am planning our honeymoon to WDW for next March! What are some resorts that would be best for our honeymoon - more couple vibes than family if possible?

Hello Brittany, and welcome to planDisney.

Well, I feel absolutely honored today! I am thrilled to hear your happy news! Let me be the first from planDisney to say congratulations!

Brittany, I have been happily married for 33 years, and my husband and I celebrate as many anniversaries as possible in our special place. I am so excited to help you on your quest for the perfect honeymoon Resort hotel!

A few weeks ago, my husband and I stayed in a Royal Guest Room at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside. This picturesque hotel is full of southern charm. In the Royal Rooms, you'll find the most adorable light-up headboards that are simply magical. The hotel is surprisingly quiet and offers a romantic horse and buggy carriage ride that can be rented. It was so much fun! This Resort is categorized as Moderate, making it an affordable option.

Disney's Coronado Springs Resort is also in the Moderate category. The rooms in the Gran Destino Tower are sleek and modern, giving them more of a Deluxe Resort vibe. Beautiful restaurants like Toledo - Tapas, Steak & Seafood, and Three Bridges Bar and Grill at Villa del Lago make this hotel perfect for an adult vacation.

Now, let's talk Deluxe Resorts. "I Do" love these hotels! Disney's Yacht Club Resort has a sophisticated atmosphere, with the added benefit of access to Stormalong Bay—a pool that's enjoyable for all ages. You'll also be only a short stroll from the BoardWalk area, where you'll find restaurants and nightly entertainment.

Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is my favorite Resort hotel because of its Victorian charm, stunning views of Cinderella Castle, and upscale dining options. I genuinely adore this hotel! In the afternoons, you can relax in the soaring lobby while listening to music played on the grand piano. This is the Resort I chose for my 25th wedding anniversary.

Now, Brittany, I think two rooms are THE most romantic. First, the Main Tower-Theme Park View room at Disney's Contemporary Resort represents luxury at its finest. With the Magic Kingdom within walking distance and a perfect view of Cinderella Castle, you can even watch the fireworks from your own balcony. You will feel like a princess bride.

The ultimate romantic room, however, is the Garden Room with Club Level Access at Disney's BoardWalk Inn. Each room resembles a private "cottage" with its own garden and a gated white picket fence. You'll enter your private two-story room, featuring high ceilings, a small kitchen, a sitting area, a loft bedroom, and a stunning soaking tub. Because these cottages are private and accommodate only two adults, they offer a quiet, intimate atmosphere. Additionally, you'll have Club Level Access(Swoon!)

Brittany, let me share a budgeting pro tip:  When my husband and I want to stay in the ultra-magical rooms, we often do a "split stay." We spend the first few days at a Value Resort, where we usually spend most of our time in the theme parks. Then, we switch to a Deluxe Resort for some relaxing pool days. This approach allows us to enjoy the Deluxe Resorts without exceeding our budget.

I am throwing confetti and pixie dust in excitement for you! I hope you'll find the perfect Resort hotel that fits your style! Please visit us here at planDisney every step of the way as you plan for your lifelong "Once upon a time."

Sending you the happiest Best Wishes!
