Hi! We are planning our honeymoon for WDW late February/early March. Always wanted to see the Flower Garden Festival! We are thinking of doing a split stay - Animal Kingdom Lodge, Disney’s Yacht Club and Disney Springs. Suggestions to get the most if each

    Welcome back to planDisney, Brittany!

First of all, huge congratulations on your upcoming honeymoon! I can't think of a more magical place to celebrate the start of your happily ever after than the Walt Disney World Resort. And can I just say, what a dream lineup for a split stay! From sweeping savannas to Crescent Lake views and the charm of Disney Springs, you've planned a beautiful blend of experiences.

Brittany, late February into early March is a practically perfect time to visit. The weather tends to be mild, and the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival usually begins in early March. The topiaries, outdoor kitchens, and garden-inspired entertainment are chef’s kiss for a romantic trip! While dates haven’t been announced yet for 2026, I recommend keeping an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for the official announcement so you can lock in your dates to make sure the festival is happening during your visit!

Now let's make the most of each resort: At Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, start your stay by soaking in the peaceful vibes. Coffee with a view of the giraffes in the savanna? It just doesn't get better! This resort is ideal for winding down after travel day, enjoying all the gorgeous savanna views, and dining at romantic spots like Jiko – The Cooking Place, a personal fave! Be sure to explore the art and cultural displays around the lobby and maybe sip a South African wine while watching animals wander by. Talk about a honeymoon core memory (insert sappy crying emoji)!

At Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, you’ll be steps away from EPCOT, which is perfect for Flower & Garden Festival days! Plus, you’ll have easy access to the Disney Skyliner for a breezy date night at Disney’s Riviera Resort or a casual lunch at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. Stormalong Bay is also a guest favorite! Hello, midday park break lazy river float time!

Ending your stay at Disney Springs gives you flexibility for dining, shopping, and entertainment without needing park reservations. It’s a great place to slow things down, enjoy brunch at Wine Bar George, or catch live music under the stars.

One tip for a split stay is to pack with each resort in mind. Maybe a fun date night outfit for the Springs, cozy gear for early morning balcony coffee at the Lodge, and something floral for your EPCOT festival day! Bell Services can transfer your luggage between resorts, so you can head straight to the parks or enjoy your next resort without missing a beat.

Brittany, your honeymoon sounds like it's going to be a fairytale come true. If you need help with dining suggestions, Lightning Lane strategy, or the perfect PhotoPass spot for a “just married” snapshot, I’m always happy to help.

Wishing you a lifetime of love, laughter, and magical adventures!

    With pixie dust and petals,
