Hey Howdy Hey Virginia and welcome to planDisney!
I am excited to hear that you are in the planning stages of your Magical vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort. The Holiday season is pure joy celebrating the most magical time of year at the most Magical place on Earth! Walt Disney World is a big place and this Magical transformation can be different depending on your goals for your trip so let's go over what to expect for your trip.
At Magic Kingdom, they are known for the speed of the transformation of this park from one season to the next. As the last Guests leave on October 31st, Disney Cast Members work through the night to have the park dressed in its Holiday best starting on November 1st. This process is such a big undertaking and so impressive that you can check out how this happens with
Decorating Disney: Holiday Magic on Disney Plus. It is another great way to get excited about your trip!
Throughout the month of November, all other parks and many resorts will be decorating as well. These phases are much less rigorous and happen gradually over time. If you want to see all of the parks, Disney Springs and many of the Disney Resort hotels dressed up, you might want to wait until the end of November and early December for the most immersive experience.
One thing you might want to put on your "to-do" list is visiting the Magic Kingdom resorts. All of these resorts will be dressed up for the Holidays in decor unique to their theme. One super cool addition is the food and drink offerings that go along with them! You can take your time to enjoy the decorations with resort-specific food and drink offerings and then hop aboard the
Walt Disney World Monorail to the next resort.
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa is a must for us. Towards the end of November and early December, they have a life-size gingerbread house where they also serve Holiday treats. It is super fun to see each resort and its unique themes.
As the process gets going, keep up with all of the updates on Disney Park's social media as well as the
Disney Parks Blog to give you all the details on the special offerings. Of course, if you have any other questions, please feel free to stop back and let us know, we are always happy to help!
To Infinity and Beyond,
Nick
