We are planning a holiday to Disney World Orlando in April 2018. I have noticed that I can not book resort accommodation past December 2017. I would prefer to book online then call internationally. When will I be able to book for April 2018? Thanks

Hello Sally! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

When booking our Walt Disney World Resort Vacations, I usually make plans well before the ability to make the arrangements on the Walt Disney World Resort website.

Walt Disney World Resort has generally opened up booking for the next calendar year to Guests online mid-to-late Summer. Over the past 2 years, I have watched the site intently as I waited to modify my already booked Room-Only Resort Hotel Reservations for the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend for Special Offers.

As you know, you can book much sooner for Room-Only Resort Hotel Reservations up to 499 days in advance than you can online. Once booked, you can Modify or Cancel Reservations through My Disney Experience to take advantage of Magic Your Way Vacation Packages or any Special Offers that become available online.

As a Canadian, I understand the desire to avoid calling internationally and having to pay long distance fees. When I call (407)939-1936 to make Room-Only Reservations (or any Events and Tours or Advanced Dining Reservations), I use a free Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) program that uses my home internet to make the call without charging long distance. I recommend you look into similar programs in Australia, as it makes Walt Disney World Resort planning by phone a lot less stressful (especially if on hold).

    Happy Planning!
