    Hi I am planning a holiday to Disney World next October. Our family love the waterparks, But I noticed that Blizzard Beach shut at the very beginning of October this year. Is this just a one off, or are Disney going to be closing it in Oct every year?

    Hi Sharon!

    The Walt Disney World water parks undergo refurbishment starting in October and go through March, but there is always one park open at all times.  They usually alternate their schedules every year, so last year Typhoon Lagoon was closed in October.  For 2015, Blizzard Beach will be closed from October 4, 2015 - January 3, 2016 and Typhoon Lagoon will be closed from January 3, 2016 - March 13, 2016.  I would expect Blizzard beach to be open October of 2016, but the refurbishment schedules aren't' official until they are published by Disney.
