Planning to head to a park before we check in since we are driving down. Is there anything we will need to physically pick up or will everything be email or saved in my Disney experience? This is our first time so I want to be sure bases are covered.

Hey, howdy, hey, Vanessa, and welcome to planDisney. Nothing makes me smile more than seeing a fellow Georgian heading down to the "Place Where Dreams Come True." I am so excited about the mystery and magic you will be experiencing your first time at Walt Disney World Resort. Mickey Mouse has a lot of fun planned for you so make sure you have good tennis shoes, a lot of energy, and big smiles for your vacation.

As long as your tickets (and hotel if you are staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel) are correctly linked to your My Disney Experience account, you should be able to head directly to the theme parks and tap your smart device directly on the Mickey Mouse-shaped touchpoint to enter the theme parks. Nothing must be picked up but it is nice to have the plastic pass as a moment from the ticket window.

For your ticket to allow you entry into theme parks, you will need a Disney MagicMobile pass on your iPhone, Apple Watch, or Android phone. To create this pass open your My Disney Experience App account on your smart device and click on the Feature Menu (≡) on the lower right-hand side of the screen. A selection of boxes will appear with one labeled "Disney MagicMobile." Follow the instructions to create the pass and add it to your needed devices. When the time comes to enter a theme park just touch the Mickey at the entry gate and then scan your finger. Easy peasy.

planDisney Pro Tips: Since this is your first time visiting, setting expectations will be very important. The more you know the easier and more relaxing your trip will be. Be sure to read about and watch videos online about the following topics
    1. Do not expect to do everything every day. There is so much to see and experience and if you rush it you will miss the magic. Disney Theme Parks are intended to be visited over and over again.
    2. Understand what Disney Genie Service, Disney Genie+ Service, Lightning Lane Entrances, and purchasing Individual Lightning Lanes means, and know these are options to help you best use your time.
    3. Review and watch videos on Virtual Queue. This is a way to experience prime attractions without having to purchase an Individual Lightning Lane.
    4. Make Dining Reservations 60 Days in advance. Guest staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel may make their reservations for their entire trip (up to 10 days) 60 days prior to their check-in date. All other Guests are allowed to make them 60 days in advance one day at a time.
    5. Get a "1st Time" button and wear it every day. These are complimentary from your Disney Resort hotel or at each theme park. Just ask a Cast Member (Disney employee).
    6. Mickey Mouse is greeting Guests at all theme parks but I love seeing him at the Town Square Theater in Magic Kingdom Park the best.
Vanessa, we at planDisney could not be more excited for you and we have many tips to share. If you have any follow-up questions, you may write me back directly.

    Enjoy making many Magical Memories.
