We are planning to head to Galaxy's Edge in DL in August right at opening after being in Fantasyland for Morning Magic Hours. Can we enter by the Big Thunder Mountain entrance, or are they still routing everyone through the Critter Country entrance?

    Bright suns, Robert!

Wise you are, as you plan ahead for your visit to Batuu next month. Three entrances are available for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland Park. Two of these entrances are along the Big Thunder Trail. Of those two entrances, the entrance closest to Fantasyland takes guests into an area of the Black Spire Outpost that is dominated by the First Order. The entrance nearer to the Rivers of America leads to Droid Depot. On the western end of Disneyland Park, a third entrance to the land connects with Critter Country. This third entrance takes visitors through the “Old Outpost” area where the Resistance has set up a presence.

When I visited the Disneyland Resort this past weekend, I found that during a period of time after park opening, all guests wishing to visit Batuu were being directed to the entrance near Critter Country. This helped to facilitate guest flow and safety. Sometime later in the morning, all three entrances were opened up for normal flow in and out of the land. Note that during periods of higher visitation levels to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, entrance to the land may be done by boarding groups. Keep an eye on electronic display boards around the park and on the Disneyland app for more information.

If you are interested in learning ways of the Force at Savi's Workshop – Handbuilt Lightsabers or if you wish to sidle up to the bar at Oga's Cantina to listen to the amazing DJ R-3X himself, make sure you make a day-of reservation online. Also, I highly recommend having the Play Disney Parks mobile app downloaded to your mobile device. You’ll find lots more to do at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge from within the Star Wars: Datapad component of the Play Disney Parks app.

    'Til the spire, Robert!
