Hi! I am planning on having my daughters first birthday in November. Can anyone recommend a good spot for a party and that will deliver a cake? I was even thinking maybe one of the hotels or restaurants in downtown Disney have private rooms?

Hello, Nicole! Thanks for trusting the Disney Parks Moms Panel to help you plan your daughter's first birthday at the Disneyland Resort! The memories from this special visit are sure to last a lifetime.

There are lots of ways you can celebrate your little one's big day! First, if you are planning on a small gathering, you can make a reservation at one of the many table service locations and have a custom birthday cake delivered to your table. There are different styles and flavors to choose from. To order a cake, call (714) 781-3463 up to 60 days in advance, but no less than three days prior to your reservation. To make the meal even more special, make your reservation at a location that offers character dining! You can meet princesses while you eat breakfast or lunch at Ariel's Grotto, or some of the "Fab Five" and their friends at locations like Goofy's Kitchen and Disney's PCH Grill.

If you plan on having a bigger celebration for your daughter's birthday, I know of two locations in the Downtown Disney District that offer private rooms for parties: ESPN Zone and Tortilla Jo's. Or you can take it a step further and reserve a meeting room at one of the Disneyland Resort Hotels.

Don't forget to purchase a PhotoPass+ product to capture all the fun of this important day! I hope your daughter has a magical first birthday at the Happiest Place on Earth!
