    Hi Karen!

This is a great question. There are hotels at Walt Disney World to meet all needs and budgets. Disney hotels can basically be divided into several categories with the least expensive generally be the Disney Value Resorts and the most expensive being the Disney Deluxe Resorts. The Deluxe Resorts generally offer the best locations and the most service and amenities.

The closest resorts to the Magic Kingdom are the Magic Kingdom Monorail Resorts:  Grand Floridian, Polynesian, and the Contemporary (including Bay Lake Tower). Nearby are the Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness, but they are not on the monorail line.

I suggest visiting the independent website MouseSavers.com to help you decide on a resort based on value. MouseSavers has a lot of information and tips on saving money on a Disney vacation. It is one of the sites I visit first when planning my own Disney vacation. You can also find the typical rates Disney charges for the various resorts there. Just remember that Disney can change the various rates at any time.

I hope this helps. Please write back with more questions.
