Planning a Grand Gathering of 25 people. Is it better to call Disney Dining myself or Grand Gathering to make dining reservations? Also we have alot of children going, two of which are 18, are they considered adults when making dining reservations?

    Patricia:

My understanding is that if you call Disney Dining for a large group, they will actually transfer you over to Grand Gatherings....that's been my experience on my last two GGs I've planned. So, save yourself the trouble and just go ahead and call them at (407) 934-7639. I have found them to be so, so helpful and will give you good suggestions of which restaurants are better for larger parties and what dining events are only open to larger groups.

As for your 18-year-olds, they will be considered adults when making reservations. In fact, children are considered 3- to 9-years-old at Disney, mostly for the dining plan. Those who are 10 and older all pay the same adult price.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
